Care deeply, educate intelligently, and help people passionately

Our life's mission is to provide high quality, intelligent coaching that’s accessible to as many people as possible. Our programs cater to those who just want to move and sweat daily, and also those who want to get after it with some fire.

Faith, family, friendships, fitness

We believe that a life well lived isn’t judged by the time of a workout or the medals you accumulate, but by your character, your personality and the relationships you build, nurture and enjoy along the way.

Derrick Ball

Why did you become a coach?

Coaching is what I’ve been called to do. It is how I can make a lasting impact on people’s lives and the world. Coaching is how I build relationships, instil self-esteem, and enhance fitness so that people can lead more active, balanced lives.

I’m a big believer and follower of Jesus, and I believe The Lord blessed me with the gifts of education, communication, and execution, so that I may glorify God by reaching people and changing lives. Coaching gives me the opportunity to love, live, and lead like Jesus Christ.

What disappoints you about the current state of fitness?

The promotion (and obsession) of the ‘quick fix’. I want to teach people a way of fitness and health that is designed for the long term, not for burnout.

If you woke up and were suddenly the Surgeon General of America, what would your first order of business be?

Require that all schools (middle schools and high schools) implement a mandatory nutrition and fitness curriculum that outlines the basic concepts of energy expenditure, energy balance, metabolism, exercise, and physical activity.

It’s your day off from work. How do you spend it?

Early morning training, mid-day hike with Ashley and Koda, take-out and a movie, and in bed by 10:00pm (we’re actually 29 going on 79).

One food you could eat forever?

PIZZA! New York, Neapolitan, Chicago-style, thin crust, hand tossed, deep dish, Dominos. IT. DOES. NOT. MATTER. I eat it all.

Ash Broderick

Why did you become a coach?

Honestly, I think that I want people to succeed just as much, if not more, than they want it for themselves! I truly invest my heart and soul into helping you fuel yourself for the life that you want to live!

I care so deeply for the individuals in my life: family, friends, clients, and even strangers. Because of this, without a doubt, I know that the Lord has called me to help people.

My purpose in life is to transmit positivity and instil optimism. What we eat has such a huge impact on our mood, energy and enjoyment of the day to day, so nutrition is my vehicle to improve people’s quality of life.

What disappoints you about the current state of fitness?

The misinformation about diet cleanses and ‘quick fixes’. The truth is that anyone who pushes these is in it to make money, not to help you improve your life. I believe in teaching habits, not selling protocols.

If you woke up and were suddenly the Surgeon General of America, what would your first order of business be?

I agree with Derrick. Make nutrition and fitness education compulsory in schools. Teach healthy habits at a young age. It is so much easier for them to implement these while they are young than it is to change habits they’ve had for their entire life.

It’s your day off from work. How do you spend it?

Get a good workout in the sun and then take Koda for a walk in the woods!

One food you could eat forever?

Burgers!! I love a good burger!

Koda

What gets me out of bed every morning?
“When my human, the bigger one, opens the door to the outside”

What is the most disappointing thing about dog life?
“That my humans don’t let me chase squirrels or lay on the couch”

If you woke up and were suddenly in charge of the house, what would be your first order of business?
“I would make belly rubs and long walks mandatory, and I’d also like whipped cream added to my kibble morning and night.”

What’s your perfect day?
“Wake my humans up at 5:00am, get my first belly rub in by 5:15am, poop in the neighbors yard, watch my humans do weird things with odd objects in the garage, take a long walk in the woods (and chase a few squirrels), nap on the couch when Dad's is not looking, lick the whipped cream out of my human's bowls before bed.”
